Short Term Service Opportunities

Join Our Team

Are you looking for a short-term, hands-on contribution in medical missions? CEML needs you! Be a vital part of CEML’s healthcare initiative in Angola by applying your medical expertise in an international and cross-cultural health context. You will additionally learn the necessary medical practices and methodologies of a third-world context alongside seasoned and passionate doctors and nurses. These volunteer opportunities are short-term service positions for periods ranging from 2 weeks to 2 months.

CEML receives many volunteers each year to meet the many staffing needs of:

  • Providing coverage for staff vacations
  • Train, mentoring and encouraging the national nursing staff in new skills
  • Giving the medical staff new medical perspectives
  • Providing specialized medical services that are outside of CEML’s normal services.

Short-Term Opportunities

Some of the most common ways to serve as short-term medical volunteers include:

  • Two-month rotations for fourth-year medical students
  • One- or two-month rotations for physicians doing their residencies
  • Two-week service opportunities for practicing nurses and physicians.

Non-medical skills are needed as well. These include maintenance skills, computer skills, teaching skills, and many more.

For more information about these opportunities, please contact CEML via the accompanying contact form.  You will receive a reply promptly via email and then directed to complete a preliminary questionnaire.
